They’re quite a few markets I’ve found with similar stuff. I find that the smaller cities near borders have the cheapest prices. The further from international airports the cheaper too it seems like. I got some crazy deals in Mae Sai. Good tip for sure!! Thank you!!

lol ya. I have a Ronin for my big camera, and chose not to bring it since we’d be moving around a lot. I usually use my action cameras which have amazing stabilization, but I brought my ZV-E1 because I would be in low light. I have since bought an Ace Pro which should do much better for both problems with the added bonus of amazing HDR.

If you search Sampheng Market it’ll show up. On google maps it shows up where the alleyway is green, and different from the streets around it. I walked from the west of the green to the east. And turned left to run into Soi Yaowarat 11. That connects to the main Chinatown street where I ended the video. Hope that helps!!

There’s a lot to say about hotel vs hostel. I’ll try to keep it short. Hotel gets you a private room, private bathroom, and all together you can expect a private experience. Your belongings are kept securely in your room, but it all together costs significantly more. Hostels can have private rooms but mostly people use them for the dorms. Private rooms are like a hotel but may or may not have attached bathroom, and cost more than dorms usually less than hotels. But it’s sometimes nice because you can share the public spaces with others and mingle, especially if they have a bar or events. Dorms are the cheapest. Mixed means boys and girls, while others may be all female. You share the room (and yes, farts, snoring, people making noise at sleep hours). They’re great for making friends and staying for cheap.

I usually get hotel rooms these days because I like to be able to leave my laptop and stuff out instead of putting everything in lockers when I leave. But here and there I like to get a hostel and talk to people about travel. I’ll be doing this soon and I’ll be sure to talk about this for you!

Also, the strictness of dorms varies a ton. In Japan people are super respectful with noise, hour of day, lights, smells, etc. but in certain countries people talk and drink and just don’t care

Sorry about that. Sometimes I can’t figure out how to say things as I jump around different countries, languages, cultures etc. I did try to pronounce it as close as I could, but it’s hard to know when I’m doing it right or wrong. Sometimes there’s multiple ways to say it or multiple spellings too lol. But to help, I mention that I’m in Bangkok Thailand, at 0:27. I also put the country and city on screen at the beginning.
